China Eastern Airlines Brisbane Office

The worst airline ever In April 2019 our family booked a trip to China, the air tickets were booked online with Gotogate Pty Ltd. The return flights were on the 24th April, MU5416 from Chengdu to Shanghai and the connecting flight MU715 from Shanghai to Brisbane, arriving Brisbane on 25th April in the morning. But when we got to the Chengdu airport we were told that the tickets were wrong and we were refused to be checked in. After about 40 minutes argument with the airline we were put on the flight MU5416. However when we arrived Shanghai, the connecting flight MU715 has already closed it's boarding gate, and the departure time has also been changed from 22:15 to 21:10, the boarding gate was closed before we landed in Shanghai, and actually MU5416 arrived in Shanghai even a few minutes earlier than schedule. As a result of the change(that no one informed us) of the flight time, we had to stay in Shanghai for another 2 days because the next flight from Shanghai to Brisbane was on 26th April. My wife and my daughter and myself arrived in Brisbane on 27th April though we were supposed to arrive on 25th April. Chinese Eastern Airline admitted that they changed our flight time and did not inform any about the change, both their headquarter in China and their Brisbane office have confirmed that. We received no compensation, no one apologized to us and we had to argue with China Eastern Airline by ourselves otherwise we may never be able to get back home and loose our tickets. Because we arrived home late both me and my wife lost salary due to the absences from work, our child also lost a day in school and the chance to participate in the class photo. We contacted China Eastern Airline after we arrived back home, they said they would try to compensate our lose of salary if we gather all the information, however after many emails with them, and all the required info sent, they just told us that they refuse to cover any lose for us, their office in Brisbane were not helpful in this case either.

The best Chinese carrier I have ever travelled with. The office staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. They put their every endeavour to help me solve my issues. Sophie has a strong sense of etiquette and helping mind. My family had a great experience! Strongly recommended.

The service I got is so bad from this Brisbane office. I tried to book a ticket on the Chinese Eastern airline website. I been told that seats are full until last step for payment. Following the instruction I contact the office in Sydney. The price for same trip is much high if buy from the office. I been advised to contact Brisbane office, Unlike other staffs in Sydney or in China, The staffs in Brisbane office are not very friendly to their customer at all.

Im writing this to express my gratitude for the support and assistance my parent received from Eastern Air. My mother broke her knee couple days before her flight from Shanghai to Brisbane on 15/16 April 2018. The crew member on MU715 looks after her during the flight from departure to arrival. Because my mother must sit on a wheelchair during the flight and have difficulty to manage her luggage. The crew member offered full support with her luggage, Custom process and all the way to the taxi pick-up bay. Please kindly pass on our gratitude to the team.
