Dr Lee Lenton - Ophthalmologist

Our experience has been a nightmare of unprofessional mismanagement. We are currently in New Zealand. Over several months and numerous emails, we were given wrong information about arranging a referral to visit Dr Lenton. My husband flew to Townsville after confirming his appointment. When he saw Lenton's optometrist on Wednesday, he was told that Dr Lenton was stopping his visits to Townsville, and no bookings were available. My husband was very upset about the wasted trip. He tested positive to Covid the next day. He called the clinic and requested a phone consultation instead of his booked appointment with Dr Lenton. This was refused with no explanation. I am disgusted at this totally unprofessional treatment by 'Team Lenton '.

Dont rush in to multifocal implants. They might not work for you.After 3 yrs of debate with Dr Lenton and Practice manager I have got nowhere.I have consulted 5 surgeons .The advice is implants will need to be replaced with another tedious operation.Dont believe the marketing of this operation as many are told they will receive the sight of a 20 yr old. I am now visually impaired .Generic answer to reviews Inc mine ,contact Practice Manager.

Thank you Dr Lenton for making it possible for me to receive such a wonderful gift...my sight back again. What an experience and one I am enjoying, a little shocked to see how my white interior of the house was not white and a few more lines than expected, but I have a new energy...I feel great. Your team Lenton including anesthetist Dr Bruce, were simply the best. I will be back for the 2nd eye op soon....regards Sandy Scott

Dr Lenton and Anthea Nalder were a complete dream team for me. My vision was -7.00 and I have completed Lasik with better than 20/20 vision. I was actually really quite scared of the whole procedure and healing however, everything was explained and they were always just a call away and easy to get a hold of throughout the last few months. When it came to the surgery, the procedure was completely painless, so incredibly quick and streamlined (in and out of theatre in less than 10 minutes) and surprisingly, thanks to the team, I actually enjoyed myself and had a nice relaxing morning. Even looking at the laser was cool. The next two days after the topical anesthetic wore off were taken care of by only one or two Panadol and I was quite comfortable. In the end, nothing to be frightened of after all. I highly recommend Anthea, Dr Lenton and this practice. I know they cannot guarantee results, however, my experience has been incredible - I love seeing the edges of things, wearing a mask without glasses fogging up and not reaching for a pair of glasses before I even open my eyes in the morning. Even the simple act of giving a hug to a tall person doesn't squish glasses to my face lol - put quite simply, my life has changed so much for the better. Thank you.
