Salvos Stores Yagoona

Visited on the 05/04/2023 I dont recommend going to this salvos. Unfortunately whoever is managing this venue is treating a charity like a pawnbroker shop or reselling business. I understand charities like to make a profit to be able to pay for the rent and utilities for the shop. But you have got to remember what your cause is, youre a charity selling stuff for people in need especially in a community thats on a lower social economic line. I feel bad for the people who donate to this store, instead maybe think of an alternative to donate your stuff to a charity which would give to people in need in the local area. By the looks of all of these reviews new management would be needed for your store to improve.

Probably the WORST experience Ive ever had thrifting. They mark prices up way above retail for most items they have no idea how to run a store absolute THIEVES and keep all video games and box set sets behind glass cabinets and charge more than CEX, JBHIFI. YOU ARE A CHARITY! without the community youd have no business. The audacity of you lot to charge premiums on free items is disgusting. $2 a disc on DVD and Blu Ray A DISC!! Putrid.

Been coming to this store for many years, it used to be somewhat affordable but over the last year the prices keep going up and are an absolute joke. Second hand cheaply made Kmart and Shein tops are priced higher than what they sell for new. They price what they think is "in" for extraordinary prices, like a 2nd hand Adidas singlet for $20 and Portman's dress $25. If it has a tag, forget about it $50+ On top of that, most of the clothing is ripped, stained and in poor condition and should be priced a lot lower. Management is poor and it's uncomfortable being around when the manager is ripping into the staff members in front of customers. Such a shame as this used to be one of my fave salvos to visit.

I recently visited this store and had an extremely unpleasant experience with the servers. Not only were they rude, but they were also racist towards an ethnic family. It was a shocking and disappointing experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. To make matters worse, after they left the store, the servers continued to speak badly about the customers children within earshot of other customers. This behavior is completely unacceptable and disgusting. It is never appropriate to speak negatively about anyone's children, especially when they are no longer present. I am deeply disappointed by the behavior of these servers and feel that their actions should not be tolerated. I hope that the management of this store takes appropriate action to address this issue and ensure that other customers do not have to experience the same kind of treatment.

I've been paying a visit to this store since 2007 and always found the Yagoona store more expensive to the other Salvos stores within New South Wales. I gone in there today on 24-6-2022 as they were selling LP records for $5 each (were not worth that price). They were selling The Jacksons 'Destiny' LP for $20 which is the same price selling on Discogs and Ebay. The Aussie manager of this store who has many Asians working under her like cheap labor is disgraceful. I found prices on many of the clothes also expensive. It's not about helping people in need these days as it's more helping themselves. Salvos Yagoona and Salvos Tempe are the worst stores I've came across for item prices as I'm surprised nobody has reported both stores to the Dept of Fair Trading for their price hiking. Anyone reading this stay away from Salvos Yagoona as I found other Salvos in nearby areas much reasonably priced. One good thing I will say is that the Asian lady at the counter was very friendly and the volunteer named Gary was so cool.
