A/Prof Ian Woodgate

For nearly 16 years Assoc Prof Ian Woodgate has been looking after me - 2 hips, 1 knee and 2 sacroiliac fusions. The man is a genius; without his amazing skill at fixing my ageing arthritic body I would not be able to enjoy walking pain free. Walking is one of the great pleasures of my life and he has given that back to me. Not only is he obviously highly intelligent and a great surgeon but he is a caring, compassionate person who listens. I also have high regard for his wonderful staff, led so well by Kristen. I am a very grateful patient.

What a wonderful Doctor! My wife (who has extremely complex hip issues) visited him today for 1.5 hours. From the outset, Dr Woodgate was positive, emphathetic and humourous, listening carefully to her littany of 12 hip operatons (over 27 years) with other Doctors. Dr Woodgate was also very resourceful (able to get old X-rays in moments) and after a detailed examination, thoroughly explained the problems and how he could fix them. We left in awe, the most informative and uplifting experience we have ever had in a Doctor's office. Obvously he is a very intelligent and capable man with a great heart. Would give 6 stars if I could.

The surgery by Dr Woodgate my husband recently had has given him back mobility and he is now pain free. Dr Woodgate was the only one to have accurately diagnosed the problem and is the only surgeon to do this operation in Australia. This is the third operation that Dr Woodgate has performed on my husband and every one has been successful. Due to the success of the pelvic operation my husband will have the other side of the pelvis operated on in the near future. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Hes a good surgeon because he pays attention to fine details that other lazy buggers dont even consider. The five star rating is purely for him and not the old hag who works for him. By the way, good on him for yelling at the brat running up and down outside his practice (the useless mother gave him a poor review when shes clearly only a one star parent). Elderly and injured patients attend orthopaedic clinics and dont need to risk another injury because some fool cant control their kid ! Good on you Ian for stepping up where the useless Wu woman failed.

I recently had a hip replacement and the whole experience was stress free, painless, comfortable and a great improvement on my life. The Professor's lead up to the surgery was very comforting and clear. The staff at the 'East Sydney Private Hospital' was outstanding and rehab at President Private was also outstanding. I highly recommend Prof Ian Woodgate for any Hip related surgery
