I recently had a skin cancer removed from a very tricky place on my nostril that required post op plastic surgery. Dr Southwell-Keely was professional, kind, respectful and oh so skilled! I was anxious about the surgery and will happily admit to feeling just a bit weepy when the bandages came off, the stitches came out and I saw the result. He managed to do the repair/reconstruction without a skin graft and I'm extremely happy with the outcome. I'm so pleased. The procedure was performed at The Skin Hospital in Darlinghurst, the whole process was excellent as was Chloe in Dr Southwell-Keely's office. A very talented, supportive team that I would highly recommend.

If you are a public patient , run a mile , you will very rarely touch base with him , and if something isnt going right , you definitely WONT see him. He has NO bedside manner , because he NEVER comes round your bed , leaves it all to his registrars. Ive had a double mastectomy due to cancer , it was a stressful time , but dr James Southwell keeley made that stress 100 times worse ,Never came round my bed to explain why I was left in such a mess , again left it to his registrar, never saw him again , and didnt want to ,I think I was in the too hard basket for him, I just dont know how he can sleep at night . So unless youre a private patient look elsewhere. I will NEVER except your apology.

Finding a good Plastic Surgeon is not an easy task. Even the decision in the beginning is daunting. We read reviews, speak to others, question whether or not we should or shouldnt take the plunge. So for these reasons I would like to share my experiences with you. Dr.James Southwell-Keely has performed two procedures with me. I love his honesty and easy to talk to manner He is super confident and highly experienced. Meticulous with his surgery. In my case his stitching was seamless and scarring totally invisible. Hardly any downtime. I believe plastic surgery is essential. Who wants sagging jowls, a ugly nose, sagging neckits endless. Changing the way you feel about yourself changes your life. Dr. James Southwell-Keely is above all a exceptional passionate plastic surgeon of the very highest level of excellence. If youre considering changing anything you dont like about yourself and not sure where to go, just make an appointment. I promise you wont look any further because guess what? I never imagined I would be consulting a plastic surgeon but after I was diagnosed with breast cancer I found myself as his patient. I was originally referred by my breast cancer surgeon but I also checked with my GP and she said "you won't go wrong with him, I have referred countless patients to him and he is amazing". He explained all the options with patience and kindness and even though it was major surgery (double DIEP flap reconstruction after a double mastectomy) I knew I was in the best of hands and this helped alleviate some of my anxiety at such a difficult and emotional time. He is of course a top plastic surgeon but also very caring and thorough with his follow up.I had my surgery at St Vincent's Private Hospital and all the nurses spoke very highly of him which is also an important endorsement. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to Dr Southwell - Keely.
