Dr Kwon is a very good doctor who knows his business. My only issue is that he is often late with his appointments. I have noted this on several occasions

Dr Kwon performed emergency surgery on my Gallbladder. I had been referred to him by a nurse I knew. From our first meeting I felt cared for and in safe hands. I ask WAY too many questions and Dr Kwon took the time to answer them. The administration side of things was efficient and friendly too. I completely recommend Dr Kwon.

I am very thankful that I was referred to Dr Kwon. He is very caring, explains everything in great detail and always makes time to answer your questions. I have had to have two surgeries by Dr Kwon, both times he allayed my fears and offered reassurance right up to the time of surgery. Fanny (his receptionist) is lovely to deal with, so friendly and happy. There is nothing that is too much trouble for her. They are a lovely team, which is what is needed when you are sick, nervous and unsure. Highly recommended.

Look, major surgery is no-one's favourite recreation, but if you need abdominal surgery, Dr Kwon is a top choice. The first reason is that he is very approachable, has a great sense of humour, and is extremely thorough in explaining what is needed, why, and how he will do it. For me, it meant I went into the surgery confident he knew what he was doing, and would do it in the best way. That trust is essential: for peace of mind, you need a surgeon you have confidence in - after all, you are trusting them with your life. But the most important reason is that he is a really good surgeon. I needed a double hernia repair (turned out I had had them for quite a while; I'm almost certain I can recall when I tore one, over 60 years ago). Since I had had two previous major abdominal surgeries for other issues, Dr Kwon was expecting the worst in terms of what he would find. He wasn't wrong. There were adhesions all over the place from the previous surgeries (I have the photos to prove it). What would normally be a half hour surgery took over one and a half hours. That must have taken immense concentration: one and a half hours where a single wrong move could be fatal. Thankfully, he did it. And he did it for a fixed fee, despite knowing ahead of time that this was probably what he was facing. The results are amazing. You expect some pain and debility after surgery, but it really wasn't much. I didn't need or use any painkillers after the surgery, and slept fine that evening. I did have a couple of paracetamol the following morning - for my arthritis! I'm in my 70s, yet I was able to do a kilometer walk the afternoon of the following day, and 5 kilometers in hilly country the day after that. It confirms that Dr Kwon had done an amazing job, despite the complications, in minimising physical trauma. Six weeks later, I feel fitter than I have in 20 years. In fact my biggest problem is remembering that I still have limitations, and not to lift more than 10Kg (Dr Kwon's schedule goes up to 20Kg in a couple of weeks, which will be a bit easier to remember). Dr Kwon has my very strongest recommendation. You may, if you are very lucky, find his equal, but I really doubt you will find anyone better, no matter how hard you search.

I developed a hernia that had to be repaired as I was going on a holiday. Found Dr Kwon on Google. Within 2 weeks I was in surgery repaired between 7 & 9 PM and went home 10am the following morning. He was very professional and a hell of a nice guy. I am going great, and I wound not hesitate to recommend him should you need similar surgery.
