Dr Currer Trevor

I have been experiencing a lot of symptoms to which I couldn't explain why. This made me think for the worse scenario. I consulted with Dr Currer where he recommended for some tests. Thankfully there is not anything major wrong. The way however Dr Currer explains things is very thorough. He made sure that I fully understood my condition which made me feel comfortable and at eased. I couldn't recommend him highly enough..

I have been to Dr Currer three times now. Twice for a hernia . He is a brilliant surgeon and makes me feel like I'm the only patient he has. He fitted me in when I was in pain and took great care to explain everything about my condition. I can not speak highly enough of him.

Extensive preoperative consultation with all options fully explained, all dumb questions answered with good grace. Minimum fuss surgery with great anaesthetist and assistant surgeon, minimal hospital stay, no complications, minimal scar and thorough post operative consultation, outcome 100% as predicted. Very professional surgeon with great manner and skills, would seek him out by preference if I ever need surgery again.

My overall experience was negative with Dr Currer. I found that he wouldnt listen to my concerns, he lied to me, and didnt fix my issue. Dr Currer would always say the same thing each time I spoke to him - it was like he was reading off a script. He wouldnt listen to my concerns, and wasnt receptive to questions about alternate procedures. Pre-operation he said there was a 98% recovery rate but after my sinus failed to heal he changed these numbers to 80%. He treated my chronic pilonidal sinus with an older and less successful method that resulted in the sinus getting bigger. It bled every day for 18 months making my life miserable. If you have a pilonidal sinus, PLEASE see a colorectal surgeon instead who specialises in this area. Ive now had a limberg/rhomboid flap procedure which is a more intensive operation but should have been done in the first place. I was in excruciating pain after the operation with Dr Currer, but after the new operation I was fine and walking after 1 day (still taking it easy though).
