A beautiful house set in the Botanical Gardens. It is only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tickets are free but are provided on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are available from the Gatehouse, which is next to the main gate. You need ID when registering for the tour. For tourists, this means your passport. On the day I went, the house had been opened to celebrate the coronation of King Charles, so I did not do the tour. I was able to see a number of tge fountains rooms and the gardens. My friends and I visited and there were two signs. One on the left and one on the right that says something along the lines of no entrance. We assumed the sign on the right meant not entering inside the building and the sign on the right meant not to walk on the garden area. It shouldve been placed in the middle. We walked passed because only saw the black rope blocking the area further behind so we just assumed that it was that area thats just block. Suddenly the rude security guard told us we werent allowed to be there in a condescending tone like we were creatures below the level of average intelligence. He couldve politely said we werent allowed to be there. Maybe because were Asian and we look kinda like young teens. Such a rude guy. Place this sign in the image below in the centre of the walkway so others wont make the same mistake.
