Dr Burcu Kim

This place holds a very special place in my heart. Not only is it super chic and very eloquent makes you almost forget why ur there when you walk in. I called up in tears I couldn't even speak while booking my appointment however the receptionist are all god sent they were compassionate and I didn't feel alone in my situation. The Dr I was was very good. He gave me the all clear on my skin. I'm very happy to have come here and get the support and advice I needed. I will always come back if I ever need to but I certainly hope I don't. Amazing amazing amazing!

Only having had one appointment with Dr Kim, please take the following with a pinch of salt. I visited Dr Kim to get some insights into rosacea management, which in hindsight is clearly not one of her specialist areas. Knowing a little bit about my own condition e.g. type 1, I was surprised that she was steering me towards accutane; she handed me a pamphlet to quell any concerns I may have around nuking my intestines and body with this drug. The moisturiser she advised (QV), made my skin the worst it has ever been; which I couldn't understand because why would a professional be wrong...until you take a look at the ingredients and quickly understand why. Her tip to reduce the frequency of cleansing (from 2 times per day to 1) was also bad advice; considering rosacea is associated with bacterial/mite overpopulation. Anyone with type 1/2 rosacea reading this; do some research into azelaic acid and the link between microbiome, probiotics and rosacea. You'll be way ahead of most derms. All the best, and hopefully you've expanded your knowledge since last year Dr Kim.
