Try to find another alternative health insurance provider other than BUPA. Bitterly disappointed at lack of customer service and support. Phone support TERRIBLE. Join if you don't mind waiting over an hour for phone support. I've had time to type this review while waiting 1hour and 6 mins and counting on their phone support lines!!! YOU CANNOT GET THROUGH I HUNG UP AFTER 1HR AND 21 MINS BUPA used to be ok, NOT ANYMORE, members can't get through on their phone 134135 (unless you select option pretending you're a NEW CUSTOMER) Whereas EXISTING, loyal customers of 20+ years get treated like garbage. BUPA force EXISTING MEMBERS to wait on average of over an hour on their overloaded understaffed phone support lines, if you do have intestinal fortitude and hours to burn during the day, the phone music recording loop will send you insane, then you'll need to check into a mental health unit! Recently BUPA promoted the "Covid 19 Cashback scheme" after BUPA members paid them millions through pandemic, didn't use services due to lockdowns, they finally caved due to public pressure to refund some of it back to members. I completed online refund form for Covid refund after visiting BUPA membership website login page. Received email following day advising my BSB account details were incorrect! Im currently in phone queue after not being able to update bank account details for the refund on their website, so far it's been 1hr and 21 mins SHOCKING SERVICE, seriously considering the hassle of changing my private health insurance to another company, but no doubt BUPA are now taking advantage of Medibank customers moving across after their private data was hacked!

Just called in to cancel my membership and the operator started to try guilt trip me and be pushy about keeping my membership (even said, "do you do that for your car insurance?"). She also said that she didn't want to lose me as their customer but that just made me super irritated made me want to leave and never return. Like a bad breakup, it's good while it lasted
