I think any of their competitors are better than Accor Group. Telephone enquiries are answered by Indian team in India. Waiting time is lenthy can take up one hour of your time waiting for it to be answered. Overseas customer service team they hung up on me a few times and their attitude are rude. They promised me they will escalate the matter and get my issues solved. No, they did not. Someone calling me from sales team( local based) to continue membership, they are not aware of my disputes with them at all. They said to me, they can only help me if I continued the membership with them while I still have one month of subscription. After accessing all the benefits they have reduced and their before sales and after sales attitude. I REFUSED TO SIGN UP NOT UNTIL THEY GET BACK TO ME WITH A SATISFYING ANSWER!

Don't bother with Accor the points don't go onto your account & they do not reply to emails. A phone number is never answered and you don't know where the call is going 02 should be NSW however it goes to QLD & is not answered.

I recently tried to purchase a gift card for a family member through the Accor group. When I attempted to submit payment it told me the payment was unsuccessful, I tried numerous times with different cards, without success. Upon contacting the group by e-mail I was asked how much I needed to be refunded. I thought that was a strange response so I checked my bank accounts, they had taken a lot of money from my bank accounts. I immediately called my bank however was unable to stop the payments. I contacted the group again, by e-mail as their phone number was not working, and they said they would send the matter to the accounts section. On thinking this is some type of scam I immediately put in a dispute with my bank and contacted Fair Trading. It wasn't until I threatened to contact the police to report them for fraud that I was able to speak to a manager. I managed to purchase a gift card easily through another hotel group and cancelled all bookings through the Accor group. I am now concerned about how many people may have been stung by this scam and are unable to advocate for themselves.
