Don't use this doctor. Patient service extremely poor. I was forced to fax in my GP referral. They refused to provide an email address. Who has a fax anymore? I had to pay for a fax service. Then instead of getting a call to book an appointment as promised, I had to call a second time at which stage I was told that the doctor had to 'triage my referral' & I'd receive a call the next day. I just received a call & was told that because I live 'out of area' I wouldn't be seen. My GP had put an old address on my referral as I do live in the area. What doctor cares about the area you live in? Never heard that idiocy before. Instead of just booking me in & getting the GP to amend the referral, I still was not allowed to book an appointment until the GP amended the address & faxed the new referral in. REALLY? This was all too hard & I refused to see Dr Samuel on the basis that his system was archaic. Then his staff (Jessie) proceeded to have an argument with me saying none of this was 'their fault'. Totally unprofessional. I called my GP & asked to be referred elsewhere.

Dr Douglas Samuel is the best gastrointestinal specialist I have ever seen in Sydney , he is amazing , extremely caring, very professional, he spends time to listen to you and will go through every and each details of your health issues and will give you the best advice and the best treatment. For years and years I was suffering from IBS, GERD and different gastrointestinal issues , Ive seen other specialist but no one was accurate and straight to the point of my issues , symptoms and treatment as much as Dr Samuel. Very professional, caring towards his patients and his nurses and team are fantastic. All the best to dr Samuel and again big thanks to him

I returned from India with a Giardia infection that persisted for an entire year. I visited multiple GP's that kept putting me on the same meds that didn't work. A single visit to Dr Samuel and I am officially parasite free and extremely grateful!
