Dr Delfino Di Mascio

I have been walking alongside my 78yr old father for the past three months as he navigates the recovery of a foot infection, which ultimately led to him having a bypass performed by Dr Di Mascio. Each week post his hospital stay has been a miriad of scans, tests and appointments for one thing or another, with all varying types of specialists. Its a four hour round trip drive for me each time I accompany my dad to each of the required appts, all whilst I work full time (self employed). The reason I mention this is ...... Dr Di Mascio is one of very few Drs I have encountered in this whole process thus far, that gives my dad (Eric) and I his undivided attention, truly listening to our concerns, always answering our questions, and always explaining things to us in a way that is easily understood by us both. He treats us with respect each visit, makes eye contact when he speaks with us - we always walk away from our appointments feeling better informed, but moreso, feeling valued - like my dads health and recovery mean something to him. Sadly, I have accompanied my dad to quite a number of appts with other specialists this past few months, some of which havent even lifted their eyes from their computer screens the entire consultation to acknowledge my dads presence in their surgery. It saddens me no end to know that my 78 year old, vulnerable dad is merely just a number to some drs. Thank you Dr Di Mascio for your display of genuine care and concern shown to your patients. Thank you for imparting knowledge in such a way that it can be well understood by the sick. Thank you for listening intently. Thank you for never being too busy for us. This daughter is beyond grateful for the dignified manner in which you have treated my dad. Sadly, from my observations of walking this recovery path with my dad, there are a few Drs that could take a leaf out of your book. How the world needs more Dr Di Mascios!

Dr Di Mascio is a specialist with a lovely demeanor and shows a true concern for his patients holistically. He is always happy to answer my random questions and make logical suggestions on how to move forward. Whilst I don't necessarily enjoy having such a large team of doctors, specialists and other health care professionals I see regularly, Delfino is certainly the most personable. You're in very good, caring hands with Dr Di Mascio.

Thanks Dr Mascio, I have seriours problem with both legs, Dr Mascio decided do the both in one surgery, the surgery was successful for me. I back to normal in feeling and walking, also can ware short on summer.
