        I have Graves Disease and went to see Dr Vanita Toogood from a referral from my GP. I was put on the medication Carbimazole - the medication did not work for me as my levels constantly swung from either being very high (hyper) or very low (hypo). I asked the Dr if it's possible to be put on different medication, she did not budge and mentioned the alternative medication works the same. I went to see another endocrinologist who put me on different medication and now I'm in remission. Moral of the story: If something is not working for you don't be afraid to try something different. My message to Dr Toogood everyone is different, if a medication is not working for the patient please listen to them and take their concerns on board.
