Dr Matthew Lyons

Dr Lyons has given me my life back. I had a really bad car accident that completely stuffed up my right knee, and had a renowned knee surgeon operate on me, only for me to make no progress after 9 months and and this other surgeon tell me I just needed to have patience. On a recommendation I got a 2nd opinion from Dr Lyons and I'm so glad I did. I could tell he cared and he ordered an MRI and some scans and discovered that there was a giant screw sticking out of my knee that was causing most of the issues. He operated and instantly things improved. But it wasn't just his actions either, the way he explained things was clear and just made sense. I'm so glad I saw him, I highly recommend him.

I had a TRH replacement two weeks ago (30th May '22) & Dr. Matt Lyons was my surgeon. 5 stars plus for the successful surgery & the wonderful caring medical team & staff at the Mater Private Hospital in Nth. Sydney. My recovery two weeks later is going superbly & I am only walking around my home with one crutch & easily navigating my stairs (when I need to) with two.

My experience with Dr Matthew Lyons in my first consult was exceptionally good. He was very patient with his time, making sure that he meticulously explained all the physio and medical jargon associated with my injury to my parents who were also curious about my injury (and surgical process). The consultation did not feel rushed, but he was quite genuine in his recommendations when it came to the going through the clinical indications for ACL reconstruction and tenodesis. As a working physiotherapist, i will definitely be recommending him to my patients too.
