Dr James Laban

Dr Laban reviewed my case prior to initial consultation and even collaborated with other specialists in case they had to be involved. He performed surgery without any complications. Followed up daily and always made himself available for post op questions. I cant recommend Dr Laban highly enough. He is a great communicator, knowledgeable, caring, attentive and above all - has exceptional surgical skills.

I feel so fortunate to have been referred to Dr Laban. I was so shocked and scared to be diagnosed with a brain tumour however Dr Laban calmly explained the procedure, the risks and the probable outcome. I could understand what would be happening to me during the operation and the likely recovery period. Ive had an excellent result and am now fully recovered. I received excellent care from Dr Laban before, during and after my operation.

Posting on behalf of my mother. Its been 9 weeks ago today since Dr Laban performed an L4/L5 Laminectomy at the North shore Private hospital. Ive suffered pain and neuropathy for over 6 years and after trying everything else this was my last resort. I am in my 80s and I have to say the whole experience was compassionate, professional and reassuring and thanks goodness successful and I can finally move and walk properly without pain. Still taking it easy though careful not to lift anything heavy. I could not recommend Dr Laban highly enough if you are considering back surgery . Lovely man and Megan and surgery staff. Very disappointed, Rushed through in 15 minutes and told told to "live with the pain of being one of the few people that might be more in tune with their body" and referred to a pain specialist. Very unsympathetic to my situation.
