We have had an absolutely horrendous experience with Real Utilities. Despite raising our concerns about our March bill multiple times via phone and email, we have yet to see any action taken (from March till mid- May. It is now imperative that we seek assistance from the Energy and Water Ombudsman to investigate the matter thoroughly. Our concerns extend beyond just the March bill, as subsequent bills have shown discrepancies and questionable details, such as changes to our NMI details. We must emphasize that our household consists of only two people and that we have not been using the centralised heater or appliances with higher energy consumption, yet our bills show usage equivalent to a household of five. Furthermore, our development has solar energy, which was promised to lower our bill, but there is no transparency on the contribution of solar energy in our monthly bill. We find it unacceptable that our provider cannot provide transparency on this matter. We are left feeling unsure how our provider can assure us that their rates are cheaper than the three largest energy retailers. If you can avoid using this provider best to consider other energy retailers in the market.
