Pho House

Located in the UNSW canteen, the highest part of upper campus of UNSW. The environment is quite spacious, quite clean, and not very noisy, many students dining together. but it is not very easy to find. you can choose a lot of variety of options, and most people choose the pho. It is a pretty authentic Vietnamese pho. The noodles is smooth and chewy, the soup is very savory and hot, warms your stomach and feel good in the winter. The bowl also contain a lot of beef and sprouts, and some onions. you can add some sauces (such as sweet chilli sauce, fish sauce ), culantro leafs and lemons next to the counter. You can also choose the regular one or the big one size, which is $11.5 and $13.5 respectively for raw and cooked beef pho. It is a pretty fair and quite worth it considering the food in campus is around $15. One important thing to notice is the door is automatic, so birds will jump up your table and steal your food, but you can shoot them off easily. The waiting time is pretty short. Their ticket systems is pretty weird. my ticket is no.1 but there are many students holding ticket no.1 too. They will call out the number and the food name. So there are many students got confused. They also provide me paper bowl which can spill some soup, but others are provided with a bigger plastic bowl. They provide chopsticks and fork but they didnt provide spoons to serve soup. Overall this is quite a good experience.
