Dr Jacob Fairhall is the best specialist Surgeon, not to mention Neurosurgeon I have ever come across. I will continue to be the biggest advocate for Jacob, who removed my brain tumour. I have passed his name onto other people who are searching for an excellent neurosurgeon. He is not only a great surgeon, but a wonderful human being.

I was referred to Dr Richard Parkinson by my local gp doctor. He told me Dr Parkinson is one of the best. I made appointment, after waiting 45 minutes because Dr was late, So course i was so nervous, The first or second question by Dr Parkinson, was do you have private health insurance. I did but was just basic. He told me come back once you have got full private health insurance. I did receive email of Dr Parkinson fees, from his secretary, but just said Dr Parkinson fee's is 15,000 dollars. So after waiting 10 months I went back to Dr Parkinson and this time had so many more questions. One question was again what are your fee's His words Jodie dont worry we take care of you About 1 week later I received email from Dr Parkinson his fee's to perform my operation is going to cost me over $15,900 dollars, i was so confused why was I waiting 1 year to have private health insurance. It was to cover the cost of hospital. Not DR PARKINSON fee's. This Dr is Not a medigap Neurosurgeon, so he can charge you anything he feels like. I was so confused why didn't he give me this full invoice showing what i will need to pay. What is covered by your health insurance and the out of pocket cost to you, because he isn't a medigap doctor So see secretary told me if I was going ahead with this operation I need to transfer deposit into his account within 72 hours. I do so, but thinking must be some Neurosurgeon out there doing right thing working within the medigap scheme. After calling maybe 15 different neruro office's I did find a wonderful Neurosurgeo. I read reviews about how he cares. Funny how he only cares if you have private health insurance. Its all about money...that's why he cares. Without private health insurance he couldn't care less. Wait till February. Private health insurance.....December 13
