Outpatients Department

Waiting over a year without a word of contact from POW. Is my surgery life threatening? Am I still on a waiting list? Have they lost my file again? Who cares, its Prince Of Wales. Given the level of incompetence and the lack of basic human decency I should probably be grateful the scumbags never got the chance to take a knife to me.

My first visit to Prince of Wales Adult Outpatients, the waiting time for me was 40mins, not totally unresonable for a public hospital outpatients. The receptionists were fine and helpful. The doctor on duty was Julia and she was really nice and good. When my GP told me they had to send the referral by mail as they don't have a fax, that was really amazing these days to hear that a public hospital is still running on fax machine.

Ridiculous waiting systems for appointments. Multiple hour long waits past the time specified on the appointment letter. If the doctors not going to be ready at the allocated time, at least have a text message paging system in place to call or text patients when their doctor is ready. Would be much preferable over massively cramped, non-aircon waiting rooms. I have a broken ankle and hand and would much prefer to be out in the fresh air waiting and just receive an SMS when my doctor is ready. Nice staff, but extremely poor systems in place

This is for the lady receptionist at the outpatient department for endo. We came at 9:20 for my wifes 9:30 appointment. She just told us to sit. We waited 2 hours!!!! Only to find out that she didnt pull out my wifes folder that is why the doctor didnt know that we were there 2 hrs before! Terrible service! Next time do you job properly!
