Spent last night in emergency from 10.30 to nearly 9am - 6hr waiting and 3hr of tests. Yes it was long and tiring and incredibly frustrating and yes we wanted to go home..But the staff were great and incredibly hard working. I'm sure they'd love more staff to ease their load but they put their heads down and get on with it.

One of the best children hospital in the world with best facilities. From Doctors, nurses to all supporting staff are greatly appreciated. Gave me a cringe when some would whinge anything and everything about parking problem, where the hospital staff have no control over, to waiting hours for minor cases due to no understanding of medical triage.

Waited for 4h and no one came to see my baby. We left as we could not wait anymore. I dont understand why its called emergency if they clearly dont have emergency in their actions. Very disappointing experience.

Great staff and amenities, very caring and friendly, but beware of the local Randwick Council parking fine collectors if you're attached/parent to your sick child and take them to emergency and are admitted overnight. The next morning the rangers will likely give you a $80 fine for exceeding the 2P limit. They don't bother integrating with the local council to give free compassionate parking for license plates of vehicles that park in the vicinity that belong to owners in emergency situations, it's all about money making. You'll have to ask a friend to chuck a sickie from work (most eligible are nurses, doctors or teachers) to move the car for you or if you get a fine write to the council to review the parking fine (good luck with that extra burden), or just elect to take it to court and wait a few months for the court appearance, and then when you go to court you have to plead guilty of you don't want to have to go to court again, then you have to sit in the audience for a few hours listening to criminal cases that are higher priority for your turn and then finally the judge will call you up just before lunch and before you get to finish your sentence they'll dismiss your case
