As a home owner my only option was litigation through NCAT after the builder failed to comply with a Fair Trading Rectification Order to rectify numerous defects. There are not many experienced lawyers out there who mainly specialises in construction law such as John. From our first brief conversation John asked the right questions, understood my situation and articulated the steps moving forward. In the days leading to the Tribunal Hearing the builder's solicitor unlawfully obstructed the NCAT process and the conclave between the expert witnesses. In response John and his team's advice and strategy resulted in a favourable outcome at the Tribunal which issued a work order and a cost order against the builder. When the builder failed to comply with the Tribunal's orders we had to go back to the Tribunal and John's advice resulted in a maximum payout from the builder's insurer. This was the best possible outcome given the circumstances. It was very time consuming and exhausting to deal with that builder but now I can move on with my life. Thank you to John and his team.

John has been of immense help to me. I was having an issue with an unresponsive Builder who took my building deposit and abandoned the contract. It was a difficult and stressful time for me. I had a chat with a few solicitors, but none provided a trust feeling like John. John helped me to terminate the building contract so that the construction works can be looked after by another builder. Equally important, John also helped me to claim a 10% deposit from HBCF within a week probably a record time.
