Vrindavan Indian Restaurant

Chef Amith is one man army. He took our order, prepared it in the kitchen, and even served it fast and hot with crispy naan n rotis. Banarsi Kofta was surprisingly good. The green chutney that accompanies papadams is a must try. Chetinad chicken is not the original Indian taste as it was missing the unique spice blend of curry leaves, however, chef seems to have customised it very well for the cosmopolitan aussie pallet. One difference to normal Indian restaurants is that the curries are served as 1 person portions instead of the typical 2 person portion bowl. So we ordered 2 curries for 2 of us which came in cute mini handi bowls. Will go again to meet the amazing chef.

I just had my dinner yesterday not really good. Poorly cooked curries and quantity doesnt match the price, As well we order the starters not enough quantity and veg platter is over cooked and over. Some people are waiting around 10 minutes to get menus. I order onion and tomato salad which made me laugh, they finely chop it and serve me in bowl, it looks like i have to garnish my curries. Highly not recommend and not enough staff to serve, you have to wait too long to eat.

Quaint little spot in local Pyrmont. Been here a few times and amazing food and service. Best Indian in the local area. Even for the Sydney Sixers!
