Michael is an Absolute Artist. His salon is a testimony to this. I've been going to him for a few years now. He listens to what YOU want, and does exactly that. Although I always listen to his suggestions too. Michael does Men & Woman. Apparently does Hair & Make up. I thoroughly recommend Michael Wolff. 5 stars

Excellent hair stylist with a real gift for 'shaping' hair to people's individual looks and coming up with something special! Bonus is that Michael is also a lovely person.

Michael is the best. He makes my hair look wonderful and me feel beautiful every time I visit. He knows exactly what style and colour will suit me. It makes a huge difference when I am being filmed or in front of an audience to have perfect hair. I love the new salon too, it feels very relaxed even though Michael is always busy with the most interesting people visiting to have their hair done.

I had only just moved into this area, (a few years ago now) and my partner suggested that as it was just prior to the holiday season why didn't I go and get my hair "done " . ( code for "it looks awful") So with a fistful of dollars I went on the hunt down the streets of my new neighborhood ; that being woolloomooloo, Potts point, kings cross. Now, women being women are already sensitive about their appearance, so keep that in mind as you continue to read. As I wandered along I saw some very trendy but very busy chaotic salons, so knowing that I was going to have to stress that I had had some serious health issues and I was aware that my hair was in a delicate state but in the hope of finding the RIGHT salon , surely a professional could work with me on a program moving forward . After nearly an hour, I was beginning to get hot, bothered and stressed that I would be returning back with my dollars still in hand and hair still in disarray. Then I came across a small but tidy looking salon, simply called "Michael Wolff Hair". I didn't know anything about it or him. I was greeted by the underling staff who were fabulous. Then this flamboyant figure saunters over, picks up a lock of my hair and says " oh my what do you possibly think I can do with this" and drops it like he might catch some contagion. I stammered out that I merely wanted it tidied up and perhaps the colour toned and evened out. He proceeds to go off into this monologue of how my hair was in such a "disgusting " state of damage that he couldn't possibly do much ( I mean after all - he's an artiste!) He sauntered off and the tears just started springing from my eyes, I felt so humiliated, as all the staff had stopped working as they too were flabbergasted at his obvious arrogance. To distract myself I grabbed my phone and called a girlfriend and proceeded to tell her, hoping she might come down and save me! As she worked a few shops up the road ... One of the junior staff cane up to me and brought a box of tissues and asked if I was alright- telling him no and that i thought that his boss was incredibly rude , not to even ask the right questions about the state of my health etc - just fulfilling his ego ... this young kid said " let me do your hair" " I don't want you walking out of here unhappy ( after I had stated that there was no way that THAT man was touching my hair ) ... so this young man was really sweet , listened to my story , charged me half price and as I was leaving a very contrite Michael Wolff came up to me, apologizing and tried to make out that he didn't mean to come across so abruptly ... sorry Mr Wolff, too little too late. First impressions count . I do appreciate the apology, but again , it was his junior staff that had to clean up the mess made. Not him. I've never gone back there, never will and would never recommend it to anyone. The one star goes to the young staffer who went out of his way to make another human being feel better .
