We connected with a few buyer agents and then finally met Dan. We felt a great connection with him as he understood our requirements and outlined the process in a simplified way. Knowing our budget, we gave Dan the criterion to find us an apartment, however, our ideal choice was a house. We are still surprised that how Dan presented us the option of the house and then helped, guided and supported us to close the deal professionally. We engaged Dan through a recommendation from a friend to bid at a critical Auction for us as we were nearing the end of our pre-approval period and risking a significant reduction in borrowing capacity. In our particular case, we were lucky that the bidding was focused around our level of affordability but I am confident that Dan's approach kept the bids as low as possible while securing us our property. He was extremely thorough in his research to support the process - both in deciding to take on the job and to inform our expectations so we can set bidding limits that we were comfortable represented the true value of the property to us. We recently engaged Dan at Unicorn Buyers Agents to find, negotiate and ultimately purchase our first home. After our initial meeting, Dan understood the position we were in and what we were after. He was regularly in contact providing updates on properties he had viewed on our behalf and within a month we had purchased our first home. His knowledge of the industry is incredible as is his ability to negotiate. Without Dan we would have paid significantly more for our home. We will definitely be using Dan and Unicorn Buyers Agents if we are ever in the market again.

Dan was very helpful acting as my buyers agent in a property purchase in 2021. Regrettably, when I was looking to sell another property a few months later, our previous, very positive relationship, took an unpleasant turn. I felt Dan was pushing a particular vendors agent on to me (though of course, the ultimate decision was mine). He sent me a text message in no uncertain terms, actively discouraging me from using another agent in I had been considering to represent me in the sale. I believe Dan knew this other agent well and had given them a five star rating on their own websiteyet was very strong in his language with me, telling me not to use this person. To me, it made a mockery of the whole rating system, and I felt during this process that Dan had lost his impartiality and objectivity. In April 2022, I asked Dan to remove the testimonial I made on his website, as I no longer felt comfortable with it. Dan agreed that day - no problem. A couple of weeks later, I noticed the testimonial still there and asked Dan again to remove it. Mid-November 2022 I noticed my testimonial was still on Dans website and ask him again to remove it. This time, I have received no response. This is a real shame I thought Dan was a nice man and, at the time of my purchase, I trusted him with my life. It is disappointing afterwards to see his lack of follow-up when he agreed to remove a reference when I no longer felt comfortable. I would still include Dan in a list of recommendations as a buyers agent, as he gave me some valuable advice (which I paid for). However, our subsequent dealings have left a slightly unpleasant taste in my mouth. It is now close to eight months since Dan agreed to remove my testimonial from his website - and I have followed up a couple of times since then. Had he acted on this, my review here could have been avoided. He has had plenty of time to do what he said he would do, but I think he has just moved onto the next transaction.
