Ferment the Orange Wine Centre & Store

I visited Ferment as I was short on time and wanted to taste several Chardonnays side by side as well as a few Pinot Noirs. Ferment carries wine from producers that dont have cellar doors. This is an excellent venue to taste the wines of small artisanal winemakers. Well worth a visit, great as its open when most cellar doors have closed. Put it on your list.

This place was such a rip off. We were charged $20 each for a tasting of 6 wines. We purchased 8 bottles of wine and a bottle of gin and the tasting dollars were not refunded. Not to be recommended.

The worst part of Orange. We asked whether only 2 of us could do tasting, not the driver. We were refused, manager stated everyone has to do tasting or he wont do it. We explained again that this is rather odd as driver has to remain sober. The manger then enforced he wont do tasting unless its all 3 of us, further giving us advice on top that non of the wineries will agree to this. Beside this being irresponsible service of alcohol for which this business should be fined. All wineries were more than accommodating to our driver and to us. It is the first place we stopped in Orange and we wont recommend it to anyone. If you want to truly experience amazing wines, visit vineyards. This place should not be on the visitor map.

Beautiful place lots of wine and the 2 guys were helpful. However when coming to pay overcharged and not helpful
