The School House Restaurant

Was a little bit disappointed . Food was okay but poor service. From arrival it was 25 minutes before anyone even asked us if we'd like a drink and we had to flag someone down to take the order. Then it was a whole hour before any food was served.

Gorgeous courtyard and was night sitting under the light decked trees and heaters. Ordered the bone marrow, pork and potato scallops, bread, beetroot and labne and marinated olives. Everything tasted very salty and service was inattentive , we were waiting for at least 15 min before someone would come and seat us . Kid-friendliness: No kids menu but the there were things on the menu we could share with kids. They had high chairs.

The Charred jalapeo croquette was the best of the best! Loved it, was just overflowing with love mussels were my second favourite, the bisque was just melting away with each and every mussel.

As we were new to this restaurant we chose the "let us choose" menu which gave us a broad sample of what their menu has to offer. Wow, all the dishes were a taste experience starting subtle flavours, growing through more intense flavours and ending with a well chosen and rounded dessert. Staff were very friendly and helpful and offered good advice on wine and great answers to questions on the dishes. They were always very attentive. Highly reccommended.
