Anil Goudar

Dr Anil will always have my gratitude, respect, and highest recommendations. He is an incredibly skilled surgeon, and the nicest human being you could meet. In Oct 22 (56F) I slipped in a rainy gutter breaking my ankle. After a day at ED a different surgeon sent me home in a CAMboot 'to heal and bear weight as tolerated'. The pain was sickening, and thankfully, my GP contacted Dr Goudar on my behalf. Dr Anil rang me that day, provided advice and booked me in to the private hospital for surgery within the same week. As soon as he saw me in person Dr Anil confirmed that it was not a simple break. Along with the spiral fracture, I had ruptured the syndesmosis joint and torn ligaments off the bone - it would never have healed by itself. Dr Anil thoroughly explained the surgical procedure and was very gentle while examining the injury. He also was very clear about what to expect post surgery, and how long my recovery would take - none of it was sugar coated, but at all times I felt thoroughly safe and supported and free to ask as many questions as I needed. I had a plate and screws to correct the fracture and he reconstructed my ankle joint and ligaments so that the alignment now looks better than my other uninjured ankle. I had very little pain post surgery and Dr Anil's regular follow ups and management made the initial recovery a breeze. My incisions are so beautiful, so perfectly even and minimal, and already fading, especially compared to other surgeries I've had. Dr Anil tells me it will be 18 months before I forget I was injured, but, here it is, exactly three months since the injury, I am already walking without a CAMboot, starting physio, and being so much more mobile than I could have expected. I am overjoyed with the results and so grateful to have had such a gifted surgeon, and lovely person, take care of me. I would not be comfortable with anyone I care about seeing anyone else. I have nothing but praise for Dr Anil Goudar who performed a total knee replacement on both my knees twelve months ago (Oct 2021). I was 52 years at the time and very hesitant about undergoing this operation but it has turned out to be the best decision I have made. At the very first consultation Dr Goudar very clearly explained exactly what I could expect from the operation and answered all my questions. At no time did I feel rushed and I walked out knowing I was making the right choice. The operation was a huge success. Dr Goudar used robotics and computer navigation during the operation which resulted in incredible accuracy in the alignment of the knees. My recovery was very quick and I was able to achieve a 120 + degree bend in both knees. Within six months I was walking 5km a day and now I walk and I ride my bike 20km three times a week. Before I saw Dr Goudar I couldnt walk one km without pain. I feel I have my life back. So if you are in a similar situation I highly recommend making an appointment to see Dr Goudar.

He is fantastic. Straight to the point. No B S. He explains everything in plain English. Fantastic surgery. All went great. Now Im waiting for other knee to be done. I recommend him highly.

Would like to share my experience with Dr Anil Goudar,from the initial consultation with my right knee injuries he showed genuine interest in my condition,he examined my knee and was thorough from all the questions I had and put me at ease. As I am 54yrs still fairly active and surf quite regularly longboard,walking 2 kelpie dogs and working in a heavy industry that requires medium to heavy phisical ergonomics for the last 35 years has finally came home, still wanting quality of health to be able to continue. Dr Anil prognosis and experienced judgement led me with total easement to go ahead with a total knee replacement on 13th may, he explained everything from A to Z .i had no hesitation at all.moving forward 8 weeks post op starting to get about like I was prior to operation and slowly building up my strength to venture back into the water to get my toes wet hanging over the board , and keeping up with my fur babies, and lastly the dreaded back to work routine Dr Anil Goudar is a leading very experienced orthopaedic surgeon that is caring and passionate and very easy to talk to, treats you as a person not a number. I personally would see him again without any second thought. Thank you much appreciated.
