I saw him when I was 27. He did not fix my nose properly. The left nostril still blocks. It effects my breathing. The nose is deviated. He said that is the best he can do. Incompetent.

Terrible Experience with this "Specialist". my heavily pregnant wife had blocked ears, we went to see McSwiney and after roughly picking at her ears for the second attempt in agonizing pain he was unsuccessful at removing the problem. refused to use the suction hose or put any bit of effort to do it more gentle and was extremely stubborn in his ways. He gave us an ultimatum for my wife to have the baby (in 3 weeks) with blocked ears and then afterwards he could have put her to sleep where she was unable to feel the pain of him digging at her ears. She was hysterical and crying because this "Specialist" had told her that was the only thing that can be done. He also gave us a written price for his fee for 40 minutes work noted on the form and it was for $660. This was not including the price for anesthetist or the theater costs. How can anyone charge a person $660 for 40minutes work? During the 20minute wait afterwards in the waiting room i was looking up on my phone ear cleaning specialists. and i found one in wollongong. we left the office at approx 4pm and headed straight to wollongong with no appointment to the ear cleaning doctor. luckily they let us in as we pleaded with them because my wife was distraught. it was 6:30pm by the time he got to us, he looked into the ear and immediately identified that it was not wax and was dried skin and within 40minutes he completely removed all of the skin from her ears and she could instantly hear perfectly again. He was not "SPECIALIST" He was just a simple ear cleaning doctor. he used the suction hose, and much more patience then McSwiney and he was able to do the procedure without even hurting her at all. This whole ordeal cost us only 50 Dollars and we claimed $37.50 back on medicare. her ears are now perfect. All i can say it at the very least get a second opinion from this clinic. it is absolutely disgraceful that a long time specialist did not even have the care or competence to take a little bit more time and be more gently when removing the problem. he was just interested in getting to the next patient. Yes this sounds harsh but if you think of the ultimatum he gave us and said "There is no other way" then you take his words seriously. it was 3 weeks until my wife was due to give birth and he said that she had to do it with blocked ears. It was either wilful ignorance or complete incompetence either way I would recommend staying away from this "Professional" absolute disgrace.
