Really loved the care and attention Dr Simmer Gill and her teammate Carol, gave me during my pregnancy and during my postpartum period. Especially loved the way on how appointments were scheduled and made. It was all timely and well prepared.

My husband and I cannot thank Dr Gill enough for her support during our pregnancy. She was always understanding of our concerns and would always address them. Our consults were never rushed. She was always happy for us to come in when we felt anxious. Even though I had a high risk pregnancy she would always explain everything so well and help reduce our stress. I could not recommend her enough!

What serendipity it was that we found Dr Gill. Having gone through the first two trimesters of my first pregnancy living in London, we made the last minute decision to return home to Sydney for the birth. The lovely Carol in her office was, from the start, very accommodating of my overseas situation and helpful in guiding me through things I could be doing from London in preparation for the move. Already in my third trimester, we met Dr Gill almost immediately upon our return and very quickly it was as if we had known her for years. She was funny, friendly and professional. I never felt judged or condescended to, but instead encouraged and reassured. My only hope for my pregnancy, labour and birth was that none of it be traumatic and Dr Gill had a wonderful way of making me feel calm and capable - and, most importantly, that I would be in safe hands no matter what happened. The day my son was born, Dr Gill brought an immediate calming confidence to the room. I felt so empowered throughout my labour and like Dr Gill was mine and my husbands partner and guide and not one bit an arrogant, domineering doctor. She helped me deliver my baby with my own hands, which is an experience I will never forget. My labour was straightforward and Dr Gill had the humility not to be needlessly hands-on. In her own words, Dr Gill played more the role of midwife than that of an obstetrician, there for us if we needed her but otherwise encouraging me to do my thing. Almost immediately after my 6 week postpartum appointment, I felt I wanted another baby just so I could be under Dr Gills care again, and sure enough, less than two years later we were. I required more hand holding throughout my second pregnancy and Dr Gill went over and above for me, fielding evening telephone calls, never making me feel like a nuisance or burden. Throughout months of lockdown she would be one of the only people wed see and it was always so lovely to see her smiling face. In a scary global climate, I always felt reassured and safe in her presence. I was quite keen to have a water birth the second time around and Dr Gill was more than onboard with this, championing the idea as the day came upon us. And sure enough, my second son was born in the water! Dr Gill made me feel like a warrior following both of my births and, knowing I didnt plan on having another child, I was so sad to say goodbye to her. One last thing I will say for Dr Gill is that, on both occasions I delivered my babies, more than one midwife told me how lucky I was to have Dr Gill and confessed to me that Dr Gill either already was their personal obstetrician/gynaecologist or would be who they would choose if they ever had babies. Would highly recommend this wonderful woman.
