The Berry Street Clinic

We had a fantastic experience at the Berry Street Clinic. We have seen several other pediatricians for a variety of reasons over the years and this was by far the best experience we've had. Our doctor took the time to carefully listen to all of our concerns and presented us with several options, supporting us to consider different pathways. We suggested that one of our friends visit the Berry Street Clinic after they had bad experiences elsewhere - they were really pleased that the pediatrician they saw didn't immediately jump to prescribing medication to their young child like some other practices had. I can't recommend highly enough!

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with Dr Crawford. He saw me first for 20 mins for so, and then my daughter (who I wanted a diagnosis for) for for a few minutes. He then said she may have ADHD but it was too early to tell as she was so young (nearly 6 at the time). I question now why they even saw her as I gave her date of birth when booking the appointment. I spent a long time filling out the Vanderbilt questionnaire as did her teacher and Dr Crawford didnt look at these at all. Charging me the full amount for the initial consult. He asked me to book an appointment if her teacher thought it was necessary in 6 months. I was waiting for the write up before booking again and Im glad I did. Not only did he get her name completely wrong, but he also had wrong information regarding the family set up and uncapitalised my name (minor thing). As soon as I received the letter which theyd also sent my GP. I wrote back to ask for them to amend, giving the correct information. Im still waiting almost 3 months on. Unfortunately, I wouldnt recommend. Id heard so many good things about The Berry Street Clinic too, just wasnt my experience.

5 stars to Dr Natasha Fernandez who recently moved to The Berry Street Clinic. (We followed her from her previous practice on Clarence Street) We live quite far from the clinic and Dr Fernandez is worth the commute (80 mins return trip). Dr Fernandez helped us to diagnose our son with ADHD over 3 years ago and since then, she has partnered with our family to help manage my son's condition. Dr Fernandez is very knowledgable with ADHD and I still remember how she patiently explained my son's condition to us in a very easy to understand manner. She is an active listener, attentive and seem genuinely interested in my son and what he had to say. We have walked away from every consultation learning something new about my son's condition and how to better support him.

The Berry Street Clinic is a lovely & welcoming practice. We especially love Dr Natasha who is so kind, caring and attentive to our children.

We are so glad we have found doctor Natasha Fernandez. The secretaries could do with a bit of customer service training and friendliness.
