He is a very intelligent man and has got so much time for you he really listens!!! Like I have never been treated so well like this .. hes a good person and truly wants to help . He took the time to really try to understand my complex medical history and rare illnesses He diagnosed me with 3 more conditions which I had always felt that I had . But he found them on his own I was impressed. Now I have been given treatment that is already helping me from the medication that Ian has given me .. he spent 2 hrs with me and the written report back was 3 pages long . It shows that he really listen to me .. he is very funny which I love that I find its good to lighten medical stuff I am young my life is nothing but medical so to have a bit of a laugh while Im there cheers me up :) Hes also respectful of women and religious beliefs , he loves to learn and take on new information hes knowledgeable and intelligent I could not recommend him more Im telling everyone one about him !

Prof Ian Wilcox is chaotic and appears disorganised, always creating a very rushed atmosphere during which one doesnt have time to ask a question, or to obtain information about my health. Prof Wilcox also prescribed unsuitable medication that made me feel increasingly worse, so I feel that he does not know of appropriate treatment methods or, what is worse, that he does not care. Further, he does not report promptly to the referring doctor and only when s/he asks him to do so and, when he does, his reports are inaccurate, or too general and some do not even inform of test results. I note that some Reviewers said that Prof Wilcox has a good sense of humour but, in fact, his sense of humour is often ill-timed and inappropriate. He is superficially nice; just try to ask him questions and then you will find he is impatient and dismissive. Not recommended.

He has appalling bed side manners and unaccepted sense of humour that pull you down and degrade you as a patient His knowledge is limited and his advice to me was to ask my GP for medical opinion??? Wonder what is his actual job

Prof Wilcox is an outstanding cardiologist and clinician with the skill to create perspective and thus guide the patient through an often complex set of options. He is a kind and caring individual who has also been gifted with a delightful sense of humour, rare qualities indeed in todays medical profession.

My name is Raymond Mullins 72 I went into full heart failure in 2018 and was fortunate Professor Ian Wilcox attended to me after being rushed to RPA. He is an amazing professional with a great attitude, speaks on my level and has a sense of humour. I have had 5 bypasses and several procedures since. I live 6 hours from Sydney but am happy to travel to be under his care. He has saved my life.
