Marketown Health - General Practice

My first visit today and the doctor I saw was very helpful and knowledgeable. I thought the practice was pretty well organised with enough signals and intercom system prior to entry. Perhaps it can look chaotic if visitors number is unexpectedly high as they will be kept outside. Payment system is seamless and smooth after I filled my info on the online form and my Medicare refund was organised by the admin staff without any hassle.

I have changed my review because this surgery has declined so much, doctors are great IF you can get an appointment. App and online appointment page does not work and tells you to call instead, try to call and all you get is the engaged noise. Absolutely pathetic. Now I see why this surgery only gets such a low rating.

Amazing clinicians who I trust and dont want to leave with convenient location, easy parking and spacious waiting areabut disappointingly run practice. Difficult to get through to a person on the phone (10-20 mins listening to hold music), leave your number but dont get a call back for hours despite the message stating you will retain your place in the queue, no apologies for extensive waits, and brisk reception staff. This has been ongoing for years with no apparent effort to fix the difficulty in contacting the practice.

Been coming to this practice for quite a while now and have recently seen Dr Goodsall twice. She is the most kindest and compassionate doctor I have ever come across. God bless her

Like some of the reviews that I have been reading I also have never left a review for a medical practice because of the work they do however I must warn patients about Marketown Health at Newcastle West NSW 2302. This is the worst medical practice I have ever been to. The staff are extremely rude and disrespectful. After I reneged on a request I made to have my records transferred to my previous doctor because of a fee that Marketown Medical were going to charge and also the timeframe they take to transfer the records I received an email reply from them which they closed by saying "We communicate with people in a respectful and courteous manner which is not something that can be said of you". I simply emailed Market town health to advise them to ignore my previous request to have my records transferred as I was not prepared to pay a fee or wait for their timeframe to have my records transferred, how was my email disrespectful? If practices like Marketown Health at Newcastle West NSW 2302 allow their support staff to respond to patients with words like "which is not something that can be said of you". Absolute shame on them for that. In the past I have also found their reception staff to be very impersonal and abrupt. Should have walked away from the Marketown Practice at Newcastle West a long time ago, never liked it from day one.
