Parks alright. Lots of ants, the ones who bite. So careful with the kids. And sometimes the bins stink

A quiet backstreet playground that rates well for the suitability for toddlers (1 - 3 years). The slide is accessible for newish walkers which is great for developing their independence. Ample street parking, though look out for cyclists using the path and road when exiting car. Equipment is offset enough from the road to not be a danger. Per the majority of council playgrounds in Newcastle, this is lacking a fence and shade. There is a large reserve which is very boggy after rain - in warmer weather use this to your advantage! The adventurous can also climb down to the large waterway and do some exploring - plenty of locals use it walking their dogs.

A small playground suited to younger kids. There's a swing set, seesaw, slide and small climbing area surrounded by woodchips. Generally well maintained, and located next to a large grass area where any bigger kids can run around. It can get a bit wet and boggy after extended periods of rain.
