BE VERY CAREFUL, Do NOT shop Barefoot Freedom. I have no reason to lie about my post, I've given an honest google review so others dont get ripped off aswell, its very stressful... If you leave a deposit you will not get it back, if you do NOT like the shoes they order in for you no refund is given, if you're on NDIS they rip off your NDIS plan & take your NDIS money without your permission & before you even get shoes or tried on the new shoes, my size was being ordered in then I needed to see if they fit properly.. Barefoot Freedom decided to take $910 for 2 pair of shoes, without my permission 1 pair I never saw & the sandals came in & they were 1 size too big & tight, hurt my toe & were made out of vinyal/felt like cheap plastic sandal, very poor quality sandals, I said I dont want these sandals they're too big too long, they hurt my toe, the girl kept tightening the sides making the sandals hurt more, then she said no you own these now, they are yours now, I said but they dont fit me, I dont want them, I havent worn them, they havent even left the store or have a box, I walked out of shop & left their shoes there & contacted NDIS told them what had happened.. I have NO shoes & Barefoot Freedom took the $910, NDIS put me thru to their fraud department, their shoes are make in china, but they say they are made America, their shoes are not made in America, they are cheap, copies very cheap shoes that they sell at very expensive prices & ripped NDIS off. NDIS Fraud section looked into Barefoot freedom & Barefoot Freedom were told they must refund the $910 back. VERY BAD service very bad.. Look else, there's heap better places to buy Leather sandals & if you're with NDIS contact NDIS they will give you NDIS shoe shops in your area that NDIS recommends. If you live Newcastle go to "Local Mobility" 365 Main st Cardiff, Local Mobility they have very GOOD quality LEATHER shoes under $200 & their service is excellent, NO deposit is needed cause they have all sizes out back of their shop & if your colour needs ordering in, no $100 depsit is needed, your sandals come within 5 working days, Dr Comfort Sneakers only take 2 working days, they are heaps cheaper & are properly made from LEATHER, not plastic vinyal sandals.. Shame on you Barefoot Freedom, you're ripping off the elderly, the Disable & NDIS.

I have been struggling for many, many years to find a shoe from a retailer, that I was able to buy off the shelf and be completely confident and comfortable walking in. Following breaking my back, it has been a constant search for that shoe. Until one week ago, I thought that this would continue forever. I was then told of this store and that I would more than likely be able to find 'That illusive shoe'. I not only found one pair of shoes, but two pairs that I was completely happy to purchase, as they were shoes like I had never tried previously. Ebony and Eden (I sure hope I spelt the ladies names correctly) were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable regarding their craft of assessing and selecting the correct shoe for purpose. The shoe products are sensationally made and the team are wonderful and helpful in finding the perfect shoe, irrespective of ability or quite extreme disability, like mine. Thank you.

Advertises OFF-STREET parking - there's none! Was assured on phone disabled access and parking off-street was available - Disabled access - tiniest doorway ever, gradient on ramp so steep the chair tips back, so NO ACCESS into shop, they wanted to hold the consultation ON THE FOOTPATH, I was MISINFORMED ON MANY THINGS, don't go there unless you are an able-bodied person as you cannot get a park where a wheelchair can be safely unloaded SHOP NOT SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR BOUND CUSTOMERS
