        Dr Lombard treated my late wife (died 2014), Helen Snodgrass, for advanced lobular breast cancer. She has amazing humanity and currency in her approach and attitude. Helen was an oncology nurse consultant serving with NSWHealth, The Leukaemia Foundation, as well as on health and ministerial committees. They had a collegial relationship in her treatment that was much appreciated by Helen and her family and friends, many of whom were also connected to the oncology sector. Moving to Newcastle mid treatment Dr Janine Lombard was recommended by a noted, and nationally awarded Sydney oncologist whom Helen had regarded as a respected colleague and friend for many years. I and a raft of others can speak no more highly of Dr Janine Lombard. We thank her for her service and humanity.
