Finally found my perfect Indian food in Sydney at @tpg.thegrandpalace This fine dining experience was one of a kind delicious, authentic Indian dishes bursting with flavour and spice. The ambiance in the restaurant itself is unmatched, with royal dcor (think palace chairs and crystal chandeliers). The staff are so friendly and helped us choose some of the best dishes Ive got to try yet. Goan Crab Shak Shak: Mud crabs cooked with Chefs secret Goan spices - My favourite dish along with the lobster, these were so fun to crack into and bite into a mouthful of delicious, saucy flavour. I love crab because you can get messy with it, and the meat was very generous/rewarding in these mudcrabs. Southern Rock Masala Lobster: fresh lobster marinated and cooked with Chefs secret spices My favourite for taste, the lobster flavour is there without being fishy. This was Sams favourite for a reason, the garnishes were refreshing and the lobster bites themselves were incredibly tasty. Cheesey Garlic Naan: bread stuffed with cheese and topped with garlic This naan was so delicious, we ended up having to order two servings. If you dont feel like the rice, this is a perfect palette cleanser between curry bites and the garlic/cheese flavours is one of my favourites. Goan Fish Curry: barramundi fish cooked with Kokum (Garcinia Indica) and coconut milk Think crispy and flaky fish sitting in a pool of delicious, creamy sauce. The perfect combination of flavours. Chefs Special Lamb Curry: lamb shanks marinated overnight with Chefs selected special spices and herbs, slowly cooked to preserve the flavour. Served with baby young potatoes Like the crab, super fun to get messy with. The meat had the perfect amount of fattiness, I love slow cooked meat like this as it fell right off the bone. After all this I was surprised that I didnt feel heavy or bloated from all of the spice/sauces however with this fine dining menu I found everything was quite light and we easily managed to finish everything. The portions were good, flavour on point and definitely somewhere I very much look forward to visiting again. @ahungryhalfie

We decided to give the local Indian a go for our Sunday night takeaway- ordered Butter Chicken $29.59 Chefs lamb (one) shank curry $35.09 , Basmati Rice $5.39 and 2x garlic naan $11.The online menu does not say Sunday surcharge however got slugged with 10% surcharge for takeaway??? $81 for 2 dishes, a rice and 2 naan?? I am more than happy to pay for good food and always support local. The lamb shank was not fall apart tender meat - we had to use a carving knife to cut it off. The butter chicken - Dry Breast slices of meat in sauce. The garlic naan - rubbery. Nothing Grand from this Palace at all except their bill!

We went to The Grand Palace, Mona Vale today for my husbands birthday dinner date. Loved the food. Really delicious and big portion sizes. After a long time we had such satisfying Indian food in Sydney. They live up to the fine dining experience. Flavours were not just spot on, they were elevated. The melt in your mouth delicacies and the beautiful crockery all made the experience worth traveling for more than an hour to go to this restaurant. Lovely service, friendly staff and highly experienced and accommodating chef. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have amazing Indian food in Sydney. Vegetarian options: Few but scrumptious and delicious, freshly and perfectly cooked vegetarian options. Our day became more special with this dinner date.
