Then, what a pleasure to encounter a specialist in practice who is so open and upfront about costs and apparently willing to offer discounts to people on fixed income. I haven't had my surgery yet but I'm already a fan. After three other opthalmologist appointments, I've found someone I trust and can talk to .

A wonderful professional health experience! I know we expect our medical professionals to perform in a certain way, primarily in the area of their expertise. That doesnt always happen, and often does not come with customer service. I recently required cataract surgery. I was very lucky my local Optometrist referred me to Dr Matthew Krilis at Marrickville Eye Doctors. Lets face it, most of us dont need an Ophthalmologist very often, so I wouldnt have known where to look for one. Just days after the first eye operation, I can look back and realise just how technically brilliant Dr Krilis and his team have been. A correct and up to date procedure is what you need in health care. I received that care in spades, and Dr Krilis runs his practice in a way that should also be applauded. Because of circumstances, I was quickly fitted into appointments and surgery in exactly the way I needed. That was appreciated. However, the whole process made me feel like an important patient. I love it when you enter a Specialists rooms and there are about twenty people waiting.the heart sinks! Not with Dr Krilis. He obviously places his patients over all else. His appointments are clearly timed to allow for patients needs. On my first visit I was greeted by Aida who carried out testing efficiently, calmly and kindly, all the while explaining everything. No cookie-cutter treatment here. I only waited very briefly to see Dr Krilis, and again, kind, calm explanations of procedures and options, and the time he spent ensuring I knew everything was refreshing. I attended the Sydney Eye Centre at Ashfield for the operation, and the experience was the same. Caring, professional, and not rushed. I felt calm and informed the whole time. The post op appointment the day after was similarly unrished, calm, caring, and reassuring. This was such a great experience, and I can only commend Dr Krilis for his patient care and professional standards. Look no further if you need this type of Optical Specialist.

In August 2022, my father had cataract surgery with Dr M.Krilis. We had attended his Marrickville Office as a recommendation. On first introduction, I found him to be very patient, spoke slowly an clearly, as English is my fathers second language. He was gentle, caring, compassionate and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Dr Krilis to anyone without any hesitation.
