        Tax return advertised as $99 on website. I went into the Manly branch & saw Scott. He said $99 was for a basic return. I had just started a new job, I had 2 x PAYG summaries and a new car which had to be taken into consideration. The account fees jumped to $228 if I paid by card & $258 if they took the fee out of my return. I opted for the card payment but was charged from my return. I couldn't claim uniform without branding or my orthopaedic shoes. I couldn't claim taxi /Uber which were my only means of transport during Covid lockdown when my buses schedule was canned for a fortnight. The cherry-on-top, 2 MONTHS LATER, HR block sends me an email requesting I pay $258 because the ATO didn't pay them. I called the manager, who apologised on behalf of the branch, and paid $228 because it came off my card in the end. I felt like such a number. I wouldn't go back or recommend them.
