The instructors were very disrespectful. They were screaming at kids for falling off the their board and not knowing how to surf. They wouldnt allow the kids to get out of the surf when they felt pressured and scared. When walking in a public area they stopped to say hello to their friends which could prevent a high risk of getting hurt. Was not supervising while kids while kids were out in the water and walking in public. Very un hygienic, the rashes were dirty and used.

I cannot rave about my lessons enough. In two lessons I have learned so much about swimming in the ocean. I can spot a rip, I now see rips in a whole new light. Ive learned to body surf. Reduce the amount of energy Im using when I swim. How NOT to panic. I am so incredibly nervous about swimming in the ocean. I've never gone past my hips when Im in the water at the beach, and now I'm swimming out to the back with all the cool kids. I still have a lot to learn, and practice, but its the best lesson. Ask for Darryl, sign up for program two "surf swimming". Honestly Darryl is an incredible teacher!!!!!! You will feel very comfortable with him, he really knows his stuff. All people should do this class!

My daughter did their Surf Ed through school late last year and got ring worm. Whilst it may have been unrelated, it was possibly due to their poor hygiene practices (swimwear shared between participants and not washed in between). I sent them a polite email about this without reply (after a month)..... then sent it again..... still no reply after another couple of weeks. Kind of odd given the importance of HSE on such an activity.

I wanted to hear everything this Coolangatta Gold Master could impart and wasn't dissappointed. I learnt a lot about assessing surf conditions and managing them by using a relaxed stroke, keeping calm underwater and maintaining forward momentum. I felt in very safe hands even when trying new techniques body surfing on big waves.

Craig is an excellent teacher and guide to help build confidence and strengh in the surf for me as an older swimmer... I was struggling to get out and in big surfs and now very confident. I really recommend anyone who needs to strengthen their surf skills do his course.
