The concrete-reinforced, bomb-proof Plotting Room is accessible via a camouflaged shed-like entrance. Once the door opens you walk down to the bottom of the staircase at 8 metres (26ft) underground. Once inside you come across the Fortress Plotting Room and the smaller Battery Plotting Room. The Plotting Room was vital to Sydneys coastal defences during World War II, receiving intel and sending it to the artillery batteries located along the coast from Port Stephens to Port Kembla, collectively known as Fortress Sydney. #LetsGuide #Manly #history #military #sydney
