Very friendly welcome and good to chat to others. Encouraging message on the book Esther and wonderful to hear about the youth camp involving 100+ and starting the year with commitment of prayer and fasting. Music team ministered well except it was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves or others sing. What a blessing to have a bright light shining in Manly!

I went to St Matt's Sunday night 24/4/23 service today at 6:30pm. The worship music is always excellent Mr Dave who sings is one of the best worship singers I have ever heard. The Christmas service is a yearly highlight for me the worship music is excellent. I didn't like the fact that St Matt's Anglican are mixing religion and politics. It's clear from the preacher and the minister that they are trying to influence a Yes vote for the voice. While I personally haven't decided on a position yet. I don't go to church to be influenced one way or another. Leave politics out of Christianity please. Putting the guilts on the congregation about God and Jesus are a Yes for the voice. It's quite disheartening that they are trying to influence a political Yes campaign. I nearly walked out but decided to stay and listen it's a pity they are pushing this position on the youth. I suggest keeping night church about worshipping God through the bible, prayer, worship music and fellowship. I probably won't be going back after hearing the preacher from Bush Church Aid and the minister follow up in support of this political message. Church should keep out of political matters and explicitly taking a position and trying to influence the congregation it's a big NO NO!!! While it wasn't explicitly said vote yes. The tone and content of the preacher and minister message it's so obvious what they are trying to do influence a Yes Vote for the voice Politics and religion do not mix especially in Church. Thanks for listening to my review. Also RIP Barry Humphries aka Dame Edna I didn't even hear them mention this at the service. A great Australian who will be missed!

I feel sorry for anyone who is truly in need and comes here in hopes to find Jesus and help and support in life. You are better off panhandling in front of Coles. Empty words and uncomfortably image conscious folk. More concerned with being right and looking like one fits in than helping those who are in real need. Thumbs down especially to the Senior pastor. Extremely disappointing. Like I said, talk like they care for a few minutes but no real action, plastered smiles and no substance. A lot of white washed tombs here.
