South West Sydney Orthopaedics

I was called the day before from a receptionist as I needed to take the covid test to come see the doctor. I went to take it that day. When I went to get my x-ray from spectrum imaging they did not let me take it due to me getting a covid test and have yet to receive my result. I had to go back to the the receptionist to tell them what happened and they told me I needed the x- ray done and was not told of this information. I had to go back to spectrum where they made me wait 20 minutes only for them say they couldnt. I then had to go back to my specialist only for the receptionist to tell me to go to another x-ray. When I came back, she asks me where the films are. I said the x-ray lab told me theyll send it straight to you. She then tells me that she needs the physical copy for the doctor to see it and that it was ridiculous! while shaking her head. I felt so embarrassed as this was not communicated to me and made me feel as if it was my fault. She then tells me she now has to go tell the doctor that its only been sent and he has to see it on an iPad. The only good thing was the doctor there. He was informative and was the only ONE to apologise for about what happened. I left this place feeling so humiliated, tired and left on the verge of tears.

It was breathtaking how rude and patronising the receptionist was. After running into issues with medical clearance and a mix-up with imaging prior to a consultation about a joint replacement, she berated my father like he was a child for not coming to the practice with imaging until Dr Chin finally came out and helped sort out the situation. Dr Chin was calm, reassuring and informative.

Dr Martin Laird is a fantastic Authopedic surgeon. He restored my hips when there was little bone .he caring .. very good at what he does would recommend

Dr Martin Laird is fantastic. He is caring, helpful and calm. Had my ACL reconstructed and he did a fantastic job. His receptionist is rude and uncaring, judgemental and ruins the experience of coming to see Dr Martin Laird. Also quite rude over the phone. Made me and my family uncomfortable and not welcome.
