Specsavers Optometrists & Audiology - Lismore S/C

I usually have an awesome customer experience at Specsavers Lismore, however the service I received at the store when I had to get a pair of glasses repaired recently was not great. The customer service person I spoke to did not mention the warranty, she went straight to how much it would cost me to get them repaired. When I said that I would have thought they would be repaired by Specsavers free of charge, she said, "It's only $60 which is a lot cheaper than buying a new pair". I was a bit taken aback and said, "well, yes, at $800 that is definitely true". Her response was to say, "oh, so you didn't even get them here then?" So rude. I explained to her that I have a complex prescription and when you add multi-focal lenses to that, yes, even at Specsavers, my glasses cost $800. After all of this, she finally said, in an extremely condescending tone, that as my glasses were out of the 2 year warranty, I would have to pay to get them repaired. This was the first time she even mentioned the warranty. Why didn't she lead with that at the beginning? I told her that I had bought the glasses within the last 2 years, so they would indeed still be under warranty. She looked me up on the system to check and sure enough, I was covered. She processed the replacement, which I I will receive in a couple of weeks and Specsavers will put my current lenses into the replacement frames. So all ended well, but why did she put me through all of that? She had a very rude and belittling tone and attitude throughout the exchange. It was a shame, because Lismore Specsavers have always been so lovely and helpful. I only wish I had taken her name, but I was so taken aback I didn't think to at the time. Very disappointing.

Spec savers provide great service to customers and community. Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and optometrists are super.
