The Runaway Spoon

I went to the runaway spoon this morning and was met by a beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. The food was delicious and filling, the coffee was rich and full of flavour, and the staff were friendly and happy to help with everything. Sitting on the back porch provided a lovely view of the village green that added to this great experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area for a lovely breakfast + lunch experience for a fair price.

Staff seem grumpy! Coffee was okay Got a bacon and egg roll, and it was really basic, well...... overpriced And trust me, I'm a tradie. Our standards are not real high $15 bucks for 1 bit bacon 1 egg and an average bun. That's out of order At least throw the coffee in with the price

Great coffee, good food and I like that they have a "half serve" option for some of the menu items. Perfect for when you just don't want too much on your plate.

We (party of four) were here at The Runaway Spoon for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I recommended making a booking as it does get busy particularly during lunch time. When we arrived, it was already packed with diners and we saw all these nicely plated dishes gotten brought out from the kitchen, people eating/drinking and chatting away, a truly vibrant atmosphere (love it). We ordered 1) Nourish bowl 2) The spoon wagyu beef burger 3) Fried chicken & waffles 4) Double baked spinach, ricotta & pumpkin souffl I had the Fried Chicken Waffles (with Canadian maple Syrup), the combination savory and sweet hit the spot and I pretty much emptied my plate fairly quickly Although I didnt try my dining companions dishes, all their plates were also empty by the end of our meal They also have outdoor seating and Ill definitely be back with my pet parrot!
