Dr Neville Rowden - St George Knee Clinic

I have had a great experience through all this after being in so much pain prior to my operation. I was up walking the next day, went to rehab at Kareena Hospital which was a good experience also. I worked hard to get back to my previous fitness and now after 6mths I'm back doing my dance classes 3 times per week and mowing my own lawn etc. As I'm a widow living on my own it was important to get back to my old fitness level as soon as possible and I think I've achieved that with the help of a wonderful Doctor and Physiotherapists. Thanks to all who were involved.

I was impressed by Dr Rowden's conservative approach from my first appointment, not immediately rushing ahead with surgery when a less invasive approach might suffice. Sadly in my case a Total Knee Replacement was in fact required but the process was made very straightforward because of the comprehensive booklet of information I was provided with. It covered every detail and left none of my questions unanswered. The operation itself went smoothly and I was allowed home just three days later. I have been having home visits from a physio and am amazed at how quickly I am recovering from the surgery. I am grateful to Dr Rowden for his surgical skills and his ability to fully explain the surgery and what I should expect. And I would like to thank his friendly and helpful staff members who always put my mind at ease and also would phone to check on my progress. I would have no hesitation in recommending St George Knee Clinic to anyone whose knees are in need of repair. Thank you.

Just a short note to compliment Dr Rowden on his work. I have just been back for my 10 year checkup for my double knee replacement. Dr Rowden has told me that the my knees look as good as when they were first operated on. I have been pain free for 10 years and having the operation changed my way of life. Over the past year I have completed another half marathon, the ultra trail 22km trail run in the blue Mountains, and various other Running Wild events in the Blue Mountains as well as other walking events. 10 years ago I couldn''t walk without pain and swelling in my knees, the operation not only changed my physical health but mental health as well. I couldn't say enough about how this event changed my outlook on life.
