Writing on behalf of my husband Hassan Zahr. Thank you Dr Gregory Wernecke who operated on both my knees today post accident. From appointments to surgery he has been so compassionate, caring and simply just very good at what he does. I have had other operations grim my accident with other doctors and Im honestly blown away with Gregory. He always takes his time to explain and articulate what is going on pre , Post and during operation. His team and assistant was so helpful leading up to it also. The post pack of information post surgery was so helpful also and I have a clear understanding of what the next few weeks and months will look like and this is a huge mental relief knowing Im now on the right track. Dr Darren Chen is a genius with knees. I am a 49 year old woman, and when I saw Dr Chen 12 months ago, he told me if I didnt replace my right knee as soon as possible, Id be in a wheelchair by the end of the year. So I took his advice, and Darren performed my right knee replacement 2 years ago. After estimating Id need three months off work, I was back at work within five weeks. The surgery and recovery were seamless, and the teams relationship with, and faith in the outpatient rehab team at President Private Hospital is fantastic. The rehab was great, and was fully covered by my private health fund. Last year, I returned to have my left knee replaced. Despite some unfortunate complications (that were not Dr Chens fault) requiring a second surgery to repair broken internal stitches, the team were yet again been fantastic. Even when I called St George Private Hospital from home on a Saturday night, they were able to contact Dr Chen and call me back with detailed instructions. Having a definitive plan in place allayed my concerns, and reduced my anxiety. Darren and the team at Sydney Knee Specialists are all amazing. From the Receptionist, to Rachel, Darrens PA, every single employee goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is as easy as possible. Darren is a highly experienced, friendly surgeon who genuinely listens to his patients concerns. The team at Sydney Knee have worked tirelessly to create a top quality procedure to reduce the patients post surgical pain, allowing you to start rehab the day of your surgery. Studies prove that this gives patients the highest chance of success and maximum functionality. I have full confidence in recommending Dr Darren Chen and the team at Sydney Knee Specialists to anyone needing help with their knees.

After years of pain and restricted mobility I went to Sydney Knee Specialists to look at my options. Dr Chen was not only very professional, but also very friendly and down to earth. I ended up getting a total knee replacement. The pre and post op care was second to none, and after following through on recommended rehab, was up and about in 6 weeks. 12 months later I am pain free and have the strength and mobility that I had in the knee 20-30 years ago. Highly recommended
