I had compression of L3 L4 L5 and S1. I had suffered with pain for many years. I was only 38yo and could hardly walk most days. I couldn't work and was on the dole. I was referred to Dr Kohan and at first was sceptical about spinal fusion surgery. After the initial consultation I felt confident with the procedure and especially with Dr Kohan. That was 12yrs ago now. The surgery was a success and he literally changed my life. Before the surgery I was depressed and suicidal feeling very useless. It was the best decision I have ever made and I am grateful for having had such a great surgeon work on me. Thank you.

I had chiari decompression surgery with Dr Kohan in Oct 2022. My surgery was a success and my recovery fast, Dr Kohan was also incredibly thorough and kind before and after surgery, ensuring I had everything I needed.

My Mum underwent lumbar laminectomy and fusion surgery in lately July 2022. Dr Kohan was the surgeon and Dr Joanne Momsen (from Alliance Anaesthetics) was the Anaesthetist. The surgery was very successful and my Mum is recovering rapidly. What has made Dr Kohan a standout surgeon and doctor is the way in which he conducts himself and the way in which he treats his patients. On my first time meeting with Dr Kohan, he spent over an hour explaining in details the purpose of the surgery, the risks involved and what to do post surgery in order to recover rapidly. Dr Kohan comes across as extremely knowledgeable and has tremendous amount of patience for questions posed. Post surgery, Dr Kohan visited my Mum everyday (incl weekend) to ensure Mum was feeling better and recovering well. The dedication to taking care of patients Dr Kohan had exhibited is remarkable and admirable. I've developed a tremendous amount of respect for Dr Kohan. Dr Joanne Momsen was the Anaesthetist and was professional, caring and knowledgeable. The anaesthics given were just right and my Mum didn't vomit once she was awake (post surgery). I cannot recommend Dr Kohan enough for anyone looking for that specialist advice on treating pain (in legs) due to lumbar region bones crushing down on discs. If anyone wishes to know more about how amazing of a doctor Dr Kohan is I'm more than happy to go into details the experience my Mum had gone through and how quickly she's recovering. It's very rare in this day and age to find a knowledge, patient and caring doctor like Doctor Kohan.
