Have gone a number of times for some Thai, food not bad. But they have issues with bugs flying around whilst you eat, has anyone else ever noticed this ?

We have been to Thai thae a fair few times. The food here is lovely. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a mid-price restaurant. The service is appalling. We are usually a group of more than 5 and the attitude of the servers is always horrible. Due to us being a large group, in the past we've been asked to pay upfront. Lately we've been told to approach the counter one at a time, which causes us to order slower and respectively the food to come out. They use IKEA $3.50 bottles of tap water on the table. The last time we were there, my colleague accidentally dropped one. The staff were very aggressive and told him he will have to pay $10 for it. He said he'll pay after he's had his lunch and the server came back telling him "you pay now". We really liked going to Thai Thae but after our last few recurring experiences with the staff's attitude, I don't think we will be returning any time soon
