Dr James Yu | Pain Specialist

I have been seeing Dr Yu for over 12 months now and he has made an amazing improvement to my mobility and pain. I am so grateful.The team at the clinic are always so helpful and happy from the reception staff, the nurses and Dr Yu.

I've been under the care of Dr James Yu for several years. I can confirm that Dr Yu prioritises the interests of his patients, makes quick, collaborative decisions in consult with the patient and takes decisive actions to alleviate the patient's suffering and to improve their quality of life. Above all, Dr James Yu is an outcomes focused specialist who genuinely cares that his treatment plan results in tangible benefits to the patient's life. I'd highly recommend anyone unlucky enough to be in chronic pain to consult Dr Yu for either an initial specialist consultation or as a second opinion.

The reception team were very professional and caring towards my questions and concerns - and I had many, but they remained very patient throughout. They gave me their time and advice when I asked about the services they provided even before seeing a specialist which was fantastic!! There was a small wait for an appointment - as you would expect for a highly sought after specialist but also not overly long at all - I was surprised with this. I have received incredible care ever since my first appointment and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Very thankful!!

I went to see Dr Yu for assistance with pain management. The only way to describe my experience is that I felt horribly judged and humiliated by his behaviour and attitude towards me during the consultation. For a doctor the lack of empathy and the patronising manner in which he dealt with me is surprising and incredibly disappointing. I left the consultation before it was finished. Overall an upsetting and bad experience.
